Should I sell at Kidia?
We sell current basic fashion for children and adults
At Kidia we specialise in of current assets acquired less than 5 years ago recycling of clothes, shoes and accessories - for children and adults alike. In addition to clothes, we also sell toys, games, children's books, and various baby products.
We sell the brands that Finns are familiar with - both more affordable everyday basics and higher quality and value branded clothing. Instead, we do not sell ultra-fashion (such as Shein or similar) or fake products.
We are not the best place to buy vintage fashion. Our sales service is not suitable for recycling older clothes.
Reasonably new products in good condition are circulating fast!
Curated selection - We check all products
We go through every product brought to us manually and decide whether to put it on sale or not. To be sold Aroud 75 % of the products are picked to our selection. Please note that we will not sell all the products you bring to us, but will only select the ones that are suitable for us.
It's important to us that shoppers are happy and find quality, clean and interesting products. A well-curated selection also serves you as a seller - when customers trust us, more products find a new home.
We check the condition of every garment carefully. We check products for stains and holes. We do not sell clothes with wash fade or those that appear worn out. We exclude pilled sweaters and dirty shoes from our selection. The most common items we exclude are shirts and jackets with stained cuffs or collars.
We also take the season into account - we sell clothes at just the right time.
Why might not all your products be selected for sale?
We see a huge number of products every week, and we know from experience which ones get sold and which ones stay on the shelves.
For this reason, we may sometimes choose not to sell items that you might think are suitable for sale. We don’t make these decisions randomly, but base them on observed demand and our understanding of our customers.
We always take into account the price point of the product. If a garment was very cheap when it was new (e.g. a shirt that cost less than €10), it may no longer have any sales value. Sometimes a garment may have a use value, but no monetary resale value.
Your product may be withdrawn from sale if.
- Similar products have not been sold in the past
- The product does not meet current customer needs
- There are too many products in a given category
- The product is not suitable for us
- The price of the product is so low that it does not make sense to sell it (e.g. very low-priced chain clothing)
Our price level is reasonable
At Kidia, we keep our prices reasonable and sell basic clothing at affordable prices. We want buying second-hand to be a smart and rewarding choice.
If you have a particularly valuable item coming up for sale, you can always send us a price request - we'll be happy to consider it.
How much do I earn by selling?
On the full service we split the accrued sales proceeds in half. You will then pay for your remaining share:
- an initial fee of 11,90 € and
- a handling fee of €0.60 for each product accepted for sale.
If many of your items are not suitable for sale with us, your share may be smaller. Please also note that you cannot replace the items we didn’t select with new ones.
Most of our customers make a nice profit, and it's very rare that they don't earn anything. However, it's important to remember that with our full-service second-hand sales, we handle most of the work for you – which is why the profit isn't as high as if you were managing everything yourself, for example, on an online marketplace.
Purchased from we offer you a lump sum for the whole lot. We will select the products suitable for sale and pay you 30-40% of their estimated selling price.
