How much does a full Kidia service cost?

How to calculate the price of a sales service

1. First, the sales proceeds accruing to you are divided in half

You get half and Kidia gets the other half. So you pay 50% commission on your earnings.

2. You pay an entry fee of 15,90€ for your share.

The start-up fee covers the screening and selection of one sales package, i.e. 80 products for sale.

3. You pay 0,65€ per priced product for your contribution

You only pay this processing fee for the products that are selected for sale.

Price includes full service

Is it worth selling on Kidia?

Most of our customers make a nice profit, and we very rarely make a loss. However, it's worth remembering that in a full-service second-hand sale, we do most of the work for you - so the returns are not as high as if you were doing the flea market yourself.

Full service is never the most profitable way to sell second hand products, as service fees will always take a large part of your sales revenue. We try to keep our prices low for Kidia, as our aim is to ensure that as many items as possible find a new home during your sales period. The value of a full service to you comes from how easy and fast it is compared to selling yourself. At Kidia, you'll always reach a large number of customers, as we're open in shopping centres every day of the week with extended opening hours.

The service fees cover all the costs of the work, such as staff salaries, premises rent and all other business expenses. In addition, Kidia pays a marginal VAT of 25,5% on its share of the profits.

EXAMPLE 1

You book one sales package (max 80 products)

You will bring 40 products for sale. We select 38 products for sale and leave out 2 products.

Your profit on sale is 250€

The 50% commission is deducted from your sales proceeds first
= 125,00€

The remaining amount will then be deducted from your share of the initial sales package.
15,90€

and a handling fee for the products:
38 x 0,65€
= 24,70€

Your payout at the end of the period is therefore:
250,00€ - 125,00€ - 15,90€ - 24,70€
= 84,40€

The total price of the service for you is:
125,00€ + 15,90€ + 24,70€
= 165,60€

EXAMPLE 2

You book one sales package (max 80 products)

You will bring 80 products for sale. We select 75 products for sale and leave out 5 products.

Your profit on sale is 650€

The 50% commission is deducted from your sales proceeds first
= 325,00€

The remaining amount will then be deducted from your share of the initial sales package.
15,90€

and a handling fee for the products:
75 x 0,65€
= 48,75€

Your payout at the end of the period is therefore:
650,00€ - 325,00€ - 15,90€ - 48,75€
= 260,35€

The total price of the service for you is:
325,00€ + 15,90€ + 48,75€
= 389,65€

What if the return is low?

Please note that we select our products very carefully for sale. If we have to exclude products from sale due to stains, wear or low demand, for example, your profit on sales may be reduced.

If we estimate that there is little to sell and there is a risk that you will make a loss in your sales period, we will contact you and, if necessary, cancel the sales period.

EXAMPLE 3

You book one sales package (max 80 products)

You will bring 80 products for sale. We select 45 products for sale and prune 35 products.

The products that go on sale are on average very cheap and not the most in demand, so fewer products are sold.

Your profit on sale is 120,00€

The 50% commission is deducted from your sales proceeds first
= 60,00€

The remaining amount will then be deducted from your share of the initial sales package.
15,90€

and a handling fee for the products:
45 x 0,65€
= 29,25€

Your payout at the end of the period is therefore:
120,00€ - 60,00€ - 15,90€ - 29,25€
= 14,85€

The total price of the service for you is:
60,00€ + 15,90€ + 29,25€
= 105,15€
